Symphony CF high efficiency gas fire

The new Ceres trims by Paragon Fires are the latest in design and add a whole new dimension to the contemporary Symphony CF high efficiency gas fire.
Previously available as a Hole-in-the-wall only fire, the technical team at Paragon Fires have been hard at work developing these three sided trims that enable the extremely efficient and attractive fire to be hearth fitted.  The new Ceres trims come in a choice of either Chrome or a Black finish.
The large format firebox of 600mm wide is amply sized to fit the current demand for above average sized fires. The Symphony CF is provided with an ultra realistic log set, glowing embers, bark, ash and very attractive flame.
With the look of a large solid fuel fire the Symphony CF with Ceres trim offers output figures of up to 4.2kW (1.5kW on low output) achieving up to 85% efficiency. With gas prices remaining high the highly efficient Symphony CF has proved a popular choice with customers because it offers extravagant looks at sensible prices.
The Ceres trims have been designed to not only work in harmony with the Symphony CF but also the range of fireplace surrounds offered by sister company Fireline. Shown here is the Ceres Black trim on the Symphony CF in the Fireline Balmoral limestone surround.
David Brewer, National Sales Manager commented “we have been working hard in the development of our industry leading glass fronted technology and understand the need for continual innovation and improvements. The Ceres trims are just the start of what promises to be an exciting year of development from our glass fronted ranges”.

Paragon hit the right note with the new Melody gas fire

Paragon fires have recently launched the Quartet glass balanced flue gas fire, furthering there growing range of highly efficient landscape glass fronted fires.

Installation Advantages

The Quartet glass has been designed as a low, wide firebox meeting current market demands with particular attention having been paid to ease of installation, resulting in a significant number of advantages:
o   No false chimney breast required
o   No cavity required below the firebox to contain controls or legs required
o   No cavity required above the firebox thanks to rear exit flue pipe
o   Low cost installation
The Quartet glass has been designed specifically for cavity wall installation where possible to eliminate the need for specialist trades or extensive construction work. With all the controls integrated into the firebox (no separate controls required) and a single rear exit flue pipe it is a very welcome step change from complex ‘European’ installation practices that are typically carried over with this type of fire and are not fully suited to UK homes.

Pleasing Appearance

Technically designed with UK installation in mind the Quartet glass however matches its European counterparts in the looks department with a smoked glass fascia giving it a thoroughly modern appearance.  The Fire is finished off with a white Carrara marble pebble fuel bed to result in a stunning fire with a high perceived value.

A Viable Alternative to Open Fires

The growth of open fronted decorative flame effect fires over the last few years has seen a desire from the consumer to purchase this style of fire but only if the heat output and fuel efficiency are acceptable. An open front inevitably leads to excessive loss of heat via the open flue system and the new Melody fires address this issue head on with an output of up to 2.98kW convected and radiant heat. The low output is up to 1.7kW.The Quartet glass uses a highly developed bespoke burner system which maximises the flame picture from its minimal 3.5kW input giving a visual effect at a much lower running cost.

Essential Efficiency

Barry Charlton, Joint MD commented “With the move in the market and current demands for  highly efficient fires all new fires must offer the performance, the Quartet glass not only looks  the part but  is also up to 85.1% efficient!! Being balanced flue the room is sealed so no ventilation is required in the room space, there is no chimney required so there is no draught when not in use. Offering both convected as well as radiant heat the Quartet glass offers style and performance”.
